XMMS overview

XMMS is a Audio tool. You can open it on Linux. XMMS for Linux can be found on respective stores.

XMMS operates with .DSM files. Other XMMS supported file formats besides .DSM are .M3U, .M3U8, .MOD, .MPC, .OGX, .PSFLIB, .SPX, .TTA, .WAV, .AAC, .CMF, .LA, .MINIPSF, .MO3, .NSF, .OFR, .PSF, .PSF1, .PSF2, .PSFLIB2, .SHN, .WV.

There are two ways of opening .DSM files with XMMS:

1. You can double-click on .DSM file (or any other supported file) with left click mouse button. If you have installed XMMS on your Linux, the file will open successfully.
2. By opening .DSM through the XMMS menu. To open the menu, launch XMMS, find the menu button and follow the instructions.
