XMMS overview

XMMS is a Audio program. You can open it on Linux. XMMS for Linux can be found on official sources.

XMMS supported file formats include .DSM and other formats of similar type. Other XMMS supported filename extensions besides .DSM are .M3U, .M3U8, .MOD, .MPC, .OGX, .PSFLIB, .SPX, .TTA, .WAV, .AAC, .CMF, .LA, .MINIPSF, .MO3, .NSF, .OFR, .PSF, .PSF1, .PSF2, .PSFLIB2, .SHN, .WV.

There are two ways of opening .DSM files with XMMS:

  1. By double-clicking on .DSM file (or any other supported file) with left click mouse button. If you have installed XMMS on your Linux, the file will open successfully.
  2. You can open .DSM file through the XMMS menu. To open the menu, launch XMMS, find the menu button and follow the instructions.
