gedit is a Productivity tool. You can launch it on Linux. gedit for Linux can be found on respective stores.
gedit operates with .CONF files. Other gedit supported filename extensions besides .CONF are .GPX, .INFO, .LST, .M, .PY, .RPT, .SCHEMAS.
You can open .CONF and other files with gedit in two ways:
- You can double-click on .CONF file (or any other file of supported format) with left click mouse button. If gedit is properly installed on your computer, the file will open successfully.
- By opening .CONF through the gedit menu. The menu button can be found on gedit dashboard.
