gEDA overview

gEDA is a Productivity program. You can open it on Mac, and Linux. gEDA for Mac, and Linux can be found on official sources.

gEDA operates with .GBL files. Other gEDA supported filename extensions besides .GBL are .GBO, .GBP, .GBR, .GBS, .GML, .GPI, .GTL, .GTO, .GTP, .GTS, .SYM.

There are two ways of opening .GBL files with gEDA:

1. By double-clicking on .GBL file (or any other file of supported format) with left click mouse button. If gEDA is properly installed on your computer, the file will open successfully.
2. By opening .GBL through the gEDA menu. To open the menu, launch gEDA, find the menu button and follow the instructions.
