There are two ways of opening .AI files with GIMP:

1. By double-clicking on .AI file (or any other file of supported format) with left click mouse button. If GIMP is properly installed on your computer, the file will open successfully.
2. You can open .AI file through the GIMP menu. The menu button can be found on GIMP dashboard.
