You can open .AI and other files with GIMP in two ways:

1. You can double-click on .AI file (or any other supported file) with left click mouse button. If you have installed GIMP on your Windows or Mac, the file will open successfully.
2. You can open .AI file through the GIMP menu. To open the menu, launch GIMP, find the menu button and follow the instructions.
