GNU Make overview
GNU Make is a Utility program. You can open it on Windows, Mac, and Linux. GNU Make for Windows, Mac, and Linux can be found on official stores.
GNU Make supported file formats include .MAKEFILE and other formats of similar type. Other GNU Make supported filename extensions besides .MAKEFILE are .MK.
There are two ways of opening .MAKEFILE files with GNU Make:
- By double-clicking on .MAKEFILE file (or any other file of supported format) with left click mouse button. If GNU Make is properly installed on your computer, the file will open successfully.
- By opening .MAKEFILE from the GNU Make menu. The menu button can be found on GNU Make dashboard.
