FontForge overview

FontForge is a Utility program. You can launch it on Windows, Mac, and Linux. FontForge for Windows, Mac, and Linux can be found on respective sources.

FontForge supported file formats include .BDF and other formats of similar type. Other FontForge supported filename extensions besides .BDF are .FNT, .OTF, .PFA, .PFB, .TTC, .TTF, .UFO, .WOFF.

You can open .BDF and other files with FontForge in two ways:

1. By double-clicking on .BDF file (or any other file of supported format) with left click mouse button. If FontForge is properly installed on your computer, the file will open successfully.
2. You can open .BDF file through the FontForge menu. To open the menu, launch FontForge, find the menu button and follow the instructions.
