MeshLab overview

MeshLab is a Graphics tool. You can open it on Windows, Mac, and Linux. MeshLab for Windows, Mac, and Linux can be found on official stores.

MeshLab supported file formats include .3DS and other formats of similar type. Other MeshLab supported file formats besides .3DS are .ASC, .OBJ, .OFF, .STL, .SVG, .TRI, .V3D, .VRML, .X3D.

There are two ways of opening .3DS files with MeshLab:

1. By double-clicking on .3DS file (or any other file of supported format) with left click mouse button. If MeshLab is properly installed on your computer, the file will open successfully.
2. By opening .3DS through the MeshLab menu. To open the menu, launch MeshLab, find the menu button and follow the instructions.
