FreeCAD overview

FreeCAD is a Graphics tool. It is available on various platforms, including Windows, Mac, and Linux. FreeCAD for Windows, Mac, and Linux can be found on official sources.

There are two ways of opening .DAE files with FreeCAD:

2. You can open .DAE file from the FreeCAD menu. To open the menu, launch FreeCAD, find the menu button and follow the instructions.
