X-Plane overview

X-Plane is a Educational program. You can open it on Windows, Mac, and Linux. X-Plane for Windows, Mac, and Linux can be found on respective stores.

X-Plane operates with .AC files. Other X-Plane supported file formats besides .AC are .LIN, .REP, .STR.

There are two ways of opening .AC files with X-Plane:

1. You can double-click on .AC file (or any other file of supported format) with left click mouse button. If X-Plane is properly installed on your computer, the file will open successfully.
2. By opening .AC from the X-Plane menu. The menu button can be found on X-Plane dashboard.
