MPlayer is mainly used for working with .3GP files. Other MPlayer supported filename extensions besides .3GP are .AAC, .AC3, .APE, .BIN, .DAT, .DV, .FLV, .M2T, .MJP, .MKA, .MKV, .MPC, .MQV, .MTS, .MTV, .NUT, .NUV, .OGG, .OGM, .OGV, .PCM, .PVA, .TRP, .TS, .TSTREAM, .TTA, .VC1, .VFW, .VOB, .VRO, .YUV, .3GPP, .3P2, .ASS, .IDX, .JSS, .KMV, .KSF, .MOD, .MPSUB, .OGA, .SCM, .SMI, .SRT, .SSA, .SUB, .UMX.
There are two ways of opening .3GP files with MPlayer:
- You can double-click on .3GP file (or any other supported file) with left click mouse button. If you have installed MPlayer on your Windows or Mac, the file will open successfully.
- You can open .3GP file from the MPlayer menu. To open the menu, launch MPlayer, find the menu button and follow the instructions.
