RStudio is mainly used for working with .R files. Other RStudio supported file formats besides .R are .RDA, .RDATA, .RHISTORY, .RMD, .RPRES, .RPROJ.
You can open .R and other files with RStudio in two ways:
- By double-clicking on .R file (or any other supported file) with left click mouse button. If RStudio is properly installed on your computer, the file will open successfully.
- You can open .R file from the RStudio menu. To open the menu, launch RStudio, find the menu button and follow the instructions.
